If you see the icon pop-up in the taskbar when a pop-up is blocked, right click on it and select to always allow. This should only be done with trusted sites however and it may allow more pop-ups than you want when on AIM.

Do not disable the popup blocker, this leaves you open to attack. On your popup blocker (whichever you are using you didn’t say, you will have an option to allow certain sites. If you feel you must, enter the sites they list.

Usually when the site is blocked, it gives you the option from accepting pop ups tempoarily from that site. If not, then do the following. Go to Internet Options from tools at the top of your page. Then hit the security tab. On trusted sites, type in the url for AIM. then press ok. If it doesnt work still then you would have to unblock pop ups all together and that might not be the best idea. Good Luck.

This always worked for me, if you know that if clicking a button or say clicking login brings up a pop-up which is blocked , just hold the CTRL key down next time, it will allow
    the window to pop-up..
